"Advancing Health Equity to Improve Population-Level Behavioral Health"

Save the Dates: Eight one-hour sessions conducted every other Tuesday from 2:00 - 3:00 PM ET, beginning April 30 through August 6

Description: Research has long confirmed that unequal distribution of and access to the social determinants of health are a leading cause of health inequities. Socioeconomic factors such as poverty, racial and ethnic discrimination, geographic location, and unequal access to quality health care, food, education, transportation, drive poor health outcomes. This community of practice (CoP) will provide best practices and resources for advancing health equity within community health center settings to improve population-level behavioral health.  

"Trauma-Informed Services in Health Center Settings"

Description: Populations served within health centers are at higher risk of mental disorders because of greater exposure and vulnerability to traumatic familial, social, economic, and environmental experience, interrelated with race, ethnicity, and gender disparities.This CoP addresses trauma-informed care and response and is relevant for behavioral health providers and leadership working in community health centers. This CoP will provide participants with an understanding of the best and promising practices currently used in integrated behavioral health and primary care settings.
