Technical Assistance Opportunities to Support Integrated Primary and Behavioral Health Care 

This webinar introduces training and technical assistance (TTA) offered at no cost to HRSA-funded Health Centers. This TTA is aimed at enhancing capacity and capability for the integration of behavioral health services in primary care. Participants will have the opportunity to provide input on specific areas of interest, learn about upcoming TTA events, and how to request TTA  tailored to organizational needs.

Presenters: Jayne Berube, HRSA/BPHC/OQI; Michael Koscinski, HRSA/BPHC/OQI; Amber Murray, Program Director, JBS; Joseph Hyde, Deputy Program Director, JBS.

Commander Jayne Berube is a Public Health Analyst at the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), Bureau of Primary Health Care (BPHC) and the Team Lead for the Care Integration and Workforce Team in the BPHC Office of Quality Improvement (OQI). Her team’s portfolio includes oral health, workforce well-being, behavioral health and substance use disorder. Commander Berube has been with HRSA for over 10 years, and with BPHC for the past four years.   

Michael Koscinski, MS, MSW, is a Public Health Analyst at the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), Bureau of Primary Health Care (BPHC), Office of Quality Improvement (OQI) and the project Contracting Officer Representative. He brings over 45 years of experience in public health, including 22 years at the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), managing behavioral health grants and contracts. He has extensive experience providing training at multiple federal agencies including the Department of Justice (DOJ), Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP), Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA), and the Administration for Children and Families (ACF).     

Amber Murray, RN, BSN, MA, PMP is a Program Director at JBS International, Inc. where she collaborates with federal, state, and local agencies as well as colleges and universities to develop and disseminate integrated behavioral health curricula, training and technical assistance. Ms. Murray is dedicated to supporting healthcare system transformation that results in comprehensive, equitable care for those in need.   

Joseph Hyde, MA, LMHC, CAS is a Deputy Program Director at JBS International, Inc. and a widely recognized expert in primary and behavioral health care integration. He brings more than 35 years of experience in mental health and substance use prevention, intervention, and treatment in the primary care setting. In collaboration with the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) and the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM), he planned and conducted SAMHSA’s Physician Training for Use of Buprenorphine. He has worked with clinics and healthcare programs throughout the United States supporting behavioral health services integration in primary care.
